The Construction section offers a local centre on the college's main campus in Lerwick for vocational training designed to meet the needs of an ever-changing workforce within the islands community. Our modern well equipped, staffed workshops mean that students have an excellent opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the best environment.

You can study this UHI networked course part time at Shetland College UHI through Video Conferencing and online learning.

Subjects include: Construction Technology; Quantitative Methods; Economics; Project Planning; Land Surveying; and Computer Aided Draughting (CAD).

This course may give exemption from some professional exams and could provide an entry route to the UHI BSc Sustainable Construction course.
