COURSE INFORMATION:
Place of Study: Shetland College UHI, Lerwick and all Learning Centres
Mode of Study: Part time or open learning
Length of Course: Up to 1 year
Start Date: August 2011
Entry Requirements: European Computer Driving Licence or appropriate IT Application experience
COURSE SUMMARY:
This course has been introduced as an alternative to ECDL Advanced. Students can gain three individual certified units or the Professional Development Award (PDA) in IT for Business.
Subjects include: Spreadsheets; Database; Word Processing; and Presentation (using Microsoft Office 2007).
COURSE CONTENT:
You will learn advanced computer application skills using Microsoft Office 2007. A range of skills will be covered using Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
HOW WILL I STUDY?
Advanced IT Applications will be a taught evening class with tutorial, self study and assessment sessions. All tutorial material will be supplied.
