STAFF QUOTE:

"The NC in Art and Design is a broad-based introduction to the Art and Design practice.  Students develop their practical, creative and critical thinking skills.  The course enables students to find their strengths and areas of interest, as well as building a comprehensive portfolio for further progress in their studies."  Anne-Marie MacDiarmid, Lecturer.

STUDENT QUOTE:

"I enjoyed improving my use of drawing and colour in workshops with professional artists like Paul Bloomer and the opportunity to try new art processes we did not cover at school in my Highers such as silk screen printing. I am now training to be a designer and the range of techniques in different media we covered for my portfolio are invaluable". Amy Gair 2009 (progressed to BA Contemporary Textiles)
