Nursery welcoming guidelines

New parents/carers and children who wish to visit our nursery are welcome.  If the parents/carers and the child like our setting then we encourage them to have more visits before the child actually starts.  We feel this programme benefits all parties - child, parents/carers and also the staff.

Parents/carers are given information about the nursery on their first visit and are encouraged to ask clarification on any points arising.

Once the child attends nursery then they will have a named coat hook and their name on all other things pertaining to them e.g. toothbrush (supplied by nursery)

Staff will welcome both parents/carers and child each time they attend the nursery. Staff will make time to speak to parents/carers at the end of each session.

Plans for our daily/weekly and monthly activities are displayed on the wall/notice boards for parents/carers to read.

Staff will hold monthly meetings to discuss the different activities and share the day to day workload. Each day the planning is checked/discussed by the staff and updated if necessary.
