BSc Computing Degree

This UHI networked Degree will be available from September 2010. Subject areas will include: Multimedia, Web based Application Development, Network and Security Management, Computer Forensics, Multi-User Operating Systems and Advanced Databases.

SVQ level 2 in Plant Operations

This new course will be available from mid April 2010. It is designed for experienced employees, currently working in the trade, and will help them to meet new industry standards by gaining appropriate certification of competence. Candidates will be required to build a portfolio making use of timesheets, risk assessments and witness statements, to demonstrate their ability to maintain and operate a range of machinery. Observations will take place on site during normal working hours, minimising any disruption to the working day. Machinery to be covered will include 360º Excavator and Dumper with others to follow as demand requires. This course will be eligible for grant assistance through Construction Skills.
