Shetland College UHI is committed to providing our students with the very best learning experience. That's why, in response to your comments and suggestions, we've created this page so that you can see exactly how your voice has made a real difference. We try to obtain feedback on all aspects of the college. Only by listening to our students can we find out what we do well and what we can improve. The following are some of the suggestions that you have made via questionnaires and the learner forums, and what we have done as a result of your feedback.

From your suggestions we made the Student Information Booklet for 2010 more user friendly through the following:
- Improved layout - making the information easier to find
- Increasing the size of the booklet from A5 to A4
- Increasing the font size
- Additional information, such as canteen menu and college Fees Policy
You said...
"We would like the library to open more in the evenings."
We did...
We have increased the opening hours of the library from three evenings to four evenings per week during term time. This means the opening hours are:
- Mon - Thurs: 9.00am - 9.00pm
- Fri: 9.00am - 4.45pm
You said...
"We have some suggestions to improve the college prospectus."
We did...
From your suggestions we made the College Prospectus for 2011/12 more user friendly through the following actions:
- Improved layout - making the information easier to find
- Students voting for their favourite front cover
