Cancellation Policy

This new cancellation policy will take effect from 1 May 2021. 

Train Shetland understands that circumstances may occur which mean you need to reschedule the training you have booked with us. We will do our utmost to try and provide you with an alternative date. However, customers should be aware of our cancellation policy:  

  • Cancellations more than 14 days prior to the course – no fee charged 
  • Cancellations from 14 to 7 days – 50% of course fee 
  • Cancellations 7 days or less – 100% of course fee 
  • You can substitute delegates without incurring a cancellation fee. Ideally, you should let us know in advance that you intend to send a substitute, but if this is not possible, they can come along on the day and advise us of the situation.  

Any provisional bookings made by phone must be confirmed with a booking form. Your booking is not complete until we receive your booking form. 

If training is cancelled by Train Shetland due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (e.g. weather, unavailability of trainer at short notice) we will inform customers directly and arrange alternative dates.  

If it is not financially viable to run a course due to low demand, we will cancel in advance and contact customers directly. We may decide to re-schedule to a later date in anticipation of demand increasing or we may decide we can no longer run that training course. We will advise customers of the action we are taking if this situation occurs.  

Please note Train Shetland will not be responsible for any loss incurred by customers as result of cancelling or re-scheduling courses.
