In Briggistanes, our cafe and social area, there's a relaxed atmosphere which allows space for students to interact and socialise between classes. Trish, Ann & Lee will have a range o food available to you every day from 8.30 till 1.30. You can view their menu and remember to check the daily specials on the plasma screen in reception or by following the Cafe's Twitter.
As well as purchasing food in the cafe you'll also find a mircrowave and kettle for your own food as well as vending machines. Thanks to students in 2015/16 making their voice hear we're also opening the doors to our new student room. Keep an eye out for more info on that.
There are various ways that you can get involved with activities. These include vocational work placements, volunteering opportunities and in supporting fellow students in making sure the student voice is heard. A really important part of that is HISA (Highlands and Islands Student Association). HISA is there to represent all students (FE & HE) and you can get involved in clubs, societies and events for students as well as much more.
Find out more about how to get involved by emailing our Depute for HISA in Shetland John Keir. Watch this space for updates as well as on the new student portal. You can also keep up to date with student news on our Facebook Group.
Get involved in student life: email student engagement or pop along D4 and chat to John, Jacqui or Greg.
