Student life

We want you to get the most out of your time with us at Shetland College UHI. Student Life isn't just about classes after all.

In Briggistanes, our cafe and social area, there's a relaxed atmosphere which allows space for students to interact and socialise between classes.  Our friendly canteen staff will have a range of food available to you every day from 8.30am until 1.30pm.

As well as purchasing food in the cafe (Briggistanes Menu May 2021) you'll also find a microwave and kettle for your own food as well as vending machines.

There are various ways that you can get involved with activities. These include vocational work placements, volunteering opportunities and in supporting fellow students and you can get involved in clubs, societies and events for students as well as much more.

Find out more about how to get involved by emailing our Shetland Officer for Highlands and Islands Student Association.

Get involved in student life: email student engagement or pop along D4 to speak to HISA or A11 to chat our student engagement team.
