Textiles and Fine Art - The First of a Kind

4-SITE, the first collaborative exhibition of both BA Fine Art and Contemporary Textiles Shetland College UHI students, is a culmination of students most recent degree work.

The narrative of the work includes painting, photography and textiles to express the themes of current creative practice.

Diverse subjects explored in this collective exhibition include painting haunting imagery of Shetland folklore, exploring the impact of tourism on the street through photography, expressions of urban environment through knit, and representing thoughts through surrealist landscapes.

Exhibition opens 30th April at 1200, and everyone is welcome to come along and meet with the creatives on Saturday 4th May between 1300 and 1430 and informally chat about their creative work.
