Opportunity for Hospitality Apprenticeship Funding

Shetland College UHI and Train Shetland have three funded Modern Apprentice places in Hospitality/Catering available to start before March 2021. The places are funded through Skills Development Scotland and cover SVQ levels 2 and 3.

An incentive grant is currently available through Skills Development Scotland. Through this, employers can receive £5000 for a 16-24 year old or £3500 for a 25+ candidate.

Places must be registered by 25 March 2021. 

We are looking to partner with Shetland hospitality providers to advertise and recruit Modern Apprentices for these places. We will work with you to identify the training opportunities in your business and also assist with promotion to find the right candidates. We can offer high quality, authentic learning experiences in our college kitchen, which is equipped to the highest professional standards.
