What is special about this course?

This is a practical course aimed at those who wish to work in the hospitality industry, either front of house or in the kitchens to develop knowledge and skills in the hospitality industry.

This course is run over three days in college with the option of a work placement and there will be opportunities to cater for live events.

This course is suitable for school leavers or other young people looking for employment in this area; it may also be attractive if you are a mature student wishing to change career direction, upskill or return to full or part time study.

All equipment and uniforms will be provided.

Entry requirements

Four National 4 passes or above, four Standard Grade passes at General Level or above, or relevant work experience.

The full-time course consists of 18 credits delivered over one academic year.

Part-time, flexible study is available over two academic years.  All units of the course are available for study on an individual basis.
