International Womans Day Logo

The event will focus on the theme "Inspiring Inclusion" and will feature a compelling short video presentation, followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion, culminating in light refreshments and networking.

This gathering is open to the public, with a warm welcome extended to children. Admission is complimentary, and no pre-registration is required for attendance.

Guiding the discourse will be Rosa Brown, Net Zero Knowledge Exchange Coordinator, UHI Shetland, serving as the event's moderator.

Elizabeth Johnson MBE, Pure Energy Centre and Co-chair Shetland Net Zero Energy Forum stated: “In recognising and celebrating International Women’s Day we are pleased to be highlighting the contribution and importance of women within the local economy. Supporting and promoting the careers of women in the energy sector will grow our skilled workforce and accelerate local business opportunities arising from the net zero energy transition in Shetland.”
