Celebrating Scottish Apprenticeship Week! New Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Skills!

We offer a range of Foundation Apprenticeships and Academy Programmes to Secondary 5 and Secondary 6 pupils. With the SIC Schools Service and NAFC Marine Centre UHI, there are currently programmes in Health and Care, Construction and Engineering. 2020 sees the first year of the Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Skills. Emily explains that the Foundation Apprenticeship is part of your senior phase timetable with two half days at college and a work placement. The course lasts for one year and you will be out of school 2 afternoons per week.

Emily said students were encouraged to take up this fantastic opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in business/administration. They will also enjoy work experience in local industry gaining practical skills and experience in their area of interest. Students will gain recognised work based SVQ qualifications while studying as well as achieving their Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Skills.

  • HNC Accounting
