Information about planned strike action

EIS-Fela teaching staff will be on strike on Wednesday 20th April

Strike action is planned by EIS-FELA for Wednesday 20th April. We are expecting many day and evening classes to be affected.

Unless advised otherwise by your lecturer, all scheduled remote or in person classes will be cancelled on Wednesday 20th April 2021. 

The college will remain open. The library will be open with staff available at the Lerwick Campus between 0900 and 1900 and on the Scalloway campus between 0900 and 1700.

Bookable study spaces with computer access are available to all students, and can be arranged at the following link: https://libguides.uhi.ac.uk/shetlanduhilibrary/digitalaccess, and quiet study spaces will be made available for all students who wish to be on campus.

Student support services will be available both remotely and on campus.

We also have a wide range of resources, guidance, and services which can be accessed online, including 24/7 mental health support through Spectrum.Life and Togetherall.
