NAFC Employee Delivers Presentation at International Symposium in Portugal
Blažka Smiljanič, SAIC Shellfish Research Associate at the NAFC Marine Centre (UHI), delivering a collaborative presentation entitled: DEVELOPING AND VALIDATING SNP-BASED BROODSTOCK MANAGEMENT TOOLS FOR MUSSEL HATCHERIES at the 5th International Symposium on Genomics in Aquaculture at Albufeira, Portugal 21-23 March 2018. This research project was funded by SAIC, the Scottish Shellfish Management Group and XELECT Ltd. with mussel cultivation trials being undertaken at the NAFC Marine Centre in Shetland and genetic analysis and interpretation performed by XELECT Ltd. in St Andrews.
