During his visit to open the new Anderson High School in Lerwick, Mr John Swinney visited the construction department of Shetland College.

Principal of the College, Willie Shannon said that Mr Swinney saw Modern Apprentices across a range of levels, from new starts learning bench skills to advanced craft and time-served joiners.

The feedback from the students is that they were really chuffed to meet with and speak to Mr Swinney about the work that they are doing.
