A discounted gym membership is something which many Shetland based students have hoped for and we are delighted that Shetland Recreational Trust are providing this opportunity. The prices are based on a 35% discount on standard subscriptions plus VAT. Students are welcome to join at any time and can call along any SRT centre to sign up.

Shetland Recreational Trust has centres in Lerwick (Clickimin), Unst, Yell, Whalsay, North Mainland, Scalloway, West Mainland and South Mainland.

In Lerwick, students can enjoy the apex fitness suite, aspire studio, swimming pool, health suite and over 30 fitness classes per week at Clickimin Leisure Complex.

The rest of the leisure centres offer rural memberships. The North Mainland leisure centre boasts a fitness suite, swimming pool, steam room and fitnes classes. The West Mainland comprises a fitness suite, swimming pool, sauna and steam room and fitness classes. The Unst and Yell Leisure centres have a fitness suite, swimming pool and classes whereas the Scalloway and South Mainland pools also have steam rooms.

Highlands and Islands Student Association (HISA)'s Shetland Student Reps went to Clickimin to thank the Shetland Recreational Trust for the discounted membership opportunity last week and met with Assistant Manager Robbie Leask (pictured below).
