Join UHI Shetland for upcoming Level 1 Powerboat Course (Full-Day) with spaces available on the 28th April, 11th May, 26th May 2024.

Want to try your hand at something new? Do you have a young person at home who would love the chance to learn skills in boat handling?

This one day course will provide a practical introduction to boat handling and safety in powerboats. No previous experience is required.

The minimum age for the course is 8, and all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The course will run from 9am - 5pm.

The course covers boating techniques for launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment.
