Studying at Shetland UHI next year? SAAS Workshop 15th June
If you are studying a Higher Level course, that is HNC or above, unsure about what funding you are eligible for? Attend our online HE Student Funding Workshop on the 15th June at 18:30hrs.
As part of your preparation for being a student, it is essential that you make the necessary arrangements to cover your tuition fees and any student living costs. For many of you that is an application to the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS). We have arranged for SAAS to provide a session for students studying with us next year. The workshop will cover the types of funding available including tuition fee support, student loans and other allowances. It will also take you through the process of applying for SAAS funds via the online application and there will be an opportunity to ask SAAS any questions you might have. The workshop is also relevant to continuing students, as you must submit an application every year.
To make the most of the workshop please make sure you have the following information:
- SAAS Account Created
- Name of your College or University
- Course Title
- Birth District
- If you are applying for a student loan, two loan contacts details who reside at different address' from one another
The workshop is on June 15th at 18:30hrs. The session will be held on Microsoft Teams. If you have not used Microsoft Teams before, please try the link and make sure you can access the session before it starts.
