Early Learning and Childcare

This course is aimed at students who may be considering a career in Childcare, Playwork or Education. The course will provide you with an insight into working in Early Learning, Play and Childcare settings.

You will develop your knowledge of the sector; gain a range of practical skills and grounding in child development with lots of opportunities to try out practical play activities. This will prepare you for work in a variety of settings and/or for further study.

  • Play in Early Learning & Child Care
  • Working in Early Learning & Child Care
  • Maintenance of a Safe Environment for Children

On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded SQA accreditation at National 4 level.

Successful completion of this course can lead on to further study at the College at National Certificate, Foundation Apprenticeship, Higher, HNC and up to BA level study.
