Early Years and Youth Work

We offer many levels of study in Early Years and Youth Work. Whether you are just starting your career in childcare or are already working in the industry and looking to improve your skills we have a course for you. Our courses integrate theory and practical work in early years, and you will get a thorough understanding of the demands and responsibilities of caring for children and young people.

Teaching

You can complete your teacher training at UHI Shetland, with local placements. You will gain the understanding and knowledge that is required day-to-day in teaching, and then get the opportunity to put your skills in practice in a school setting, to give you valuable first-hand experience.
